WebI took a piece of duct tape and ran it around the extension chord and stuck the ends together so it made a tab about 3/4 of an inch long. I then screwed that tab into the ceiling with a short self-tapping wood screw. Now the extension chord will stay up until I decide it needs to come down. It's not pretty, but my basement isn't finished.
