WebTeams is built using Electron, which uses a full version of Chromium to 'wrap' a web application in order to create a desktop 'app'. The current production version of Teams is using an old version of Electron and subsequently a very out of date version of Chromium, version 69. The prod version of Electron uses Chromium v83.
